Hi buddy I am doing a brake upgrade and I was looking at this kit do you know who fitted the brake kit and if they had to modify it to fit?
Moo_69 responded on Thursday, 29th November 2007
looks the part gar.....now time to make her faster!
Gar_AE111 responded on Sunday, 2nd December 2007
@one11....get the belts, tensioners, fuel filter and oil filter from toyota, then some decent 10w40 semi synthetic oil...mobil 1 or castol magnetec, then denso iridium IK22 plugs, apexi panel filter...should be sorted after that..:D

@kov00....the guy that had the car before me fitted them...he bought the kit directly from D2...they had to make custom caliper brackets for the car...im sure if you contact D2 they might still have the dimensions of the bracket...

@moo69...cheers man...she's not too slow...;)

Hi not sure whether this post is still alive but any way..... Just got a few naging questions about your car. Can't help but wonder why you have a Turbo Timer listed for a naturally aspirated car.....? Seeing as your list of mods doesn't include a turbo conversion I cant help but wonder if you need some setting straight; or are you intending on doing such a conversion? Also you say your very pleased with the power results..... You do realise that the 20v 4age makes 160 bhp from the factory floor? It just all made me wonder.
Gar responded on Tuesday, 20th May 2008
well i have fitted a turbo timer...its actully an auto timer...for turbo and N/A engines....afetr hard driving your engine oil heats up to a higher temperature than it would normally run at...when you finish i like to let the oil run though the engine to allow to cool before swithcing off the engine...its not a nessecary but i wanted it....

i am pleased with the power results because over here in ireland the 4age 20v engine looses alot of power due to our fuel...we only get 95 ron fuel over here...i have seen alot of 20v 4age equipped cars on the dyno and they would be lucky to even get 160bhp...this was my second one and my first one only got 151bhp...
K.J.Levin responded on Tuesday, 20th May 2008
Oh right, thanks very much for clearing that up Gar. I see your reasoning behind the Turbo/Auto timer. Do you do this so that the viscocity of the oil isn't runnie as hell when the engine stops thus preventing it from vacating everywhere you want it to be when you start it again?
Sorry if I sounded like a twat before. Over here in NZ we get alot of idiots who wouldn't know a supercharger from a turbo, so It makes me cringe when I see some of the things they do but nonetheless. Pitty about your fuell! have you ever tried using an octane boost? Or also I dont know about Ireland but over here if you are a member of a car club and have your basic racing license you are allowed to purchase a certain amount of avgas. That'd yield you a good results; as long as your pistons were up to it. Thanks again.
