1. Patented Tough Anti-Rust Treatment!

In addition to the patented “2-layer/1-bake" treatment using anti-rust paint, the blast finish to the base surface is used on Street Basis, for tougher protection from chipping, often caused by bounced pebbles, and for strong rust proofing. We are confident that people living in snowfall area or near seashores would even be very satisfied.

2.Smooth Ride Height Adjustment!

Non-welded adjustment threads are adopted for Street Basis. The existing welded structure can create a very fine gap which is difficult to paint and can cause rusting. To solve this, we put a little time and effort; shell case and threads are separately painted and coated then later assembled together.

Adjustment threads on shell case are treated with TEIN original self-developed “ZT coating”. This specially formulated fluorine resin coating, with super low frictional properties, is tightly baked onto the surface, for keeping a smooth adjustment for a long period.

Street Basis has adopted the new wrought aluminum spring seats and low-friction hard-resin thrust washers. These effectively reduces the friction with springs, caused during ride height adjustment, and makes it easier to adjust the ride height with pre-load on the springs.

3.Sturdy yet Delicate New Setting!

Aiming for the perfect setting for everyday street use, new setting is a well balanced combination of the followings; just a right amount of ride height drop for stylish appearance, flexible roadholding performance to correspond to various surface changes, sturdy maneuverability, stable ride on highways, comforts in rear seats & more. Use of larger tires and wheels are well considered during development.
