URAS was founded in 1996 by drifter Ken "Nomuken" Nomura. The name is "saru", Japanese for monkey, written backwards, which is also where his nickname "Monkey Magic" comes from.
Nomura drove in the D1 Grand Prix from 2001, best known in his ER34 Skyline, and URAS makes parts made for drifting: aero kits and wide body kits, bonnets, wings, steering and handbrake parts, for the Skyline, Silvia, 180SX, Mark II, and other drift cars.
