AutoExe was founded in the 1990s by Yojiro Terada, a former Mazda works driver known in Japan as "Mr. Le Mans" for his record number of starts at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Many of its staff came from Mazdaspeed, Mazda's own competition department.
AutoExe tunes Mazdas only, and makes aero, suspension, brake, intake and exhaust parts and engine parts, for the MX-5 Roadster and the rotary RX-7 and RX-8 as well as Mazda's everyday models such as the Mazda3 and CX-5.
