K1 Laboratory is a tuning shop and engine builder in Settsu, Osaka Prefecture, opened in 2013 by Keiichi Itabashi, formerly chief engineer at J's Racing. K1 Laboratory builds race and road engines, measures and ports cylinder heads, sets up engine computers, makes suspension and performance parts, and supports cars at the circuit.
K1 Laboratory works mostly on the Honda S2000, for which it builds F20C engines and makes an exhaust, and also makes aero parts for the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ, such as GT wings and a high float trunk spoiler.
