About Bilstein

Bilstein

Bilstein is a maker of shock absorbers based in Ennepetal, Germany. Bilstein began making gas-charged monotube dampers in 1954, and Mercedes-Benz fitted them from 1957.

Bilstein dampers in Japan are imported by Abe Shokai, an importer of car parts and accessories founded in Kanda, Tokyo, in 1948, which also imports Thule, Eibach and Remus. The Bilstein range includes the B6 dampers and a steering damper for the Suzuki Jimny and Jimny Sierra.
