Lifestyle Buying Guide
Clothing sizes
Clothing from Japanese makers such as Top Secret is cut to Japanese sizes, which usually run smaller than the same letter size in Europe, the US or Australia, often by a size or more. Where a listing gives measurements, compare them with a garment you already own rather than going by the letter.
Helmets and track gear
For track days and racing, a helmet's label shows the standards it meets: for car racing, usually an FIA homologation such as FIA 8859-2015, a Snell rating such as SA2020, or both. Each organiser decides which standards it accepts, so check your series' or circuit's rules before buying.
Garage, tools and stickers
A lowered car often sits too low for a trolley jack to reach its jacking point; a jack ramp such as Cusco's raises the car enough to get one under. More of that kind of equipment is under Garage and Tools. Check a sticker's dimensions against the space it is going on; replacement stickers for wheels are with the wheel parts.
