LaserShades

LaserShades are vehicle-specific sun shades sold in Japan by Protecta, a car security specialist in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture. Protecta began importing, selling and fitting car security systems in 1992, became a company in Toyota, Aichi in 1999, moved its head office to Okazaki in 2005 and has been the Japanese sole agent for LaserShades since 2013.

LaserShades come as a set for every window except the windscreen, on powder-coated metal frames shaped to each car's window openings from 3D laser scans. The range covers Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Honda, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Suzuki models, including the Jimny and HiAce.
