About RS Watanabe

RS Watanabe

Racing Service Watanabe was founded in 1967 by Toshiyuki Watanabe, who designed and built racing cars. In 1972 it became a limited company to make magnesium wheels for racing, and in 1975 a stock company. Its Eight Spoke design dates from 1968, and a casting plant was built in 1984.

The head office is in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, with a factory in Kasama, Ibaraki. RS Watanabe makes magnesium and aluminium wheels, among them the Eight Spoke, the two-piece RM8 and the Forging R, plus parts for road cars.
