Center Caps

A centre cap is made for one wheel maker's wheels, often for particular models, and is chosen by diameter and height. Start from the wheel, not the car.

Diameter

The cap has to match the opening in the wheel it clips into. ADVAN Racing caps, for example, come in 63 mm and 73 mm, each for the matching wheel bore. Check the wheel's own size table, or measure the opening, before ordering.

Height

The cap must clear the hub face and anything standing out from it. ADVAN Racing caps come in five heights, measured as clearance inside the cap:

• Full Flat: about -3 mm
• Flat: about 2 mm
• Low: about 8 mm
• Middle: about 10 mm
• High: about 20 mm

Which one fits depends on how far the car's hub protrudes and on the wheel. Some hubs stand too proud even for a High cap, and on the Toyota Hiace, four-wheel-drive models take only the Flat type, not the Full Flat. RAYS's Model-01 cap likewise comes in Low and High versions, so the same cap design can suit hubs of different heights.

Maker, model and finish

Caps are made for a maker's own wheels, and many for a particular line, such as Work's caps for the CR Kiwami. Choose by wheel brand and model first, then by height, then by colour and logo.
