Gazoo Racing began in 2007, when an in-house team led by test driver Hiromu Naruse, with Akio Toyoda among its drivers, entered the Nurburgring 24 Hours; Gazoo is the name of a Toyota web portal. In 2015 Toyota's motorsport activities were brought together under the name, and in 2017 the GR range was set up, which now includes the GR Supra, GR Yaris, GR86 and GR Corolla, and GR Parts.
