About NGK

NGK

NGK spark plugs are made by Nippon Tokushu Togyo (NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd., now Niterra), which was set up in Nagoya in October 1936 when the spark plug business was split off from Nippon Gaishi (today's NGK Insulators). Plug production under the NGK name began in 1937.

The company makes spark plugs for road and racing engines.
