About BBS
BBS began in 1970 in Schiltach, Germany, named after its founders and the town. Its Japanese company started in July 1971 in Takaoka, Toyama, as Washimeyer, formed a technical alliance with BBS in 1983 and took the name BBS Japan in December 2013.
In 1985 it developed the RG, a forged one-piece wheel, and in 1992 it made a forged magnesium wheel for Ferrari's open-wheel race cars. Today BBS Japan makes forged wheels for cars and racing at its Takaoka factory, in lines such as the RS-GT, LM-R and RI-D.
