The M3 came with 19x9.5 +20 front and 20x10.5 +20 rear wheels on 275/35R19 and 285/30R20 tyres. Most owners run 20s all round, and 20x10 +18 to +25 front with 20x10.5 to 20x11 +15 to +22 rear fits without modification on 285/30R20 and 295/30R20 tyres. For a flush or just-past-flush look, 20x10 +8 front and 20x11 +8 to +14 rear on 285/30R20 and 305/30R20 tyres fit with some extra camber and a trimmed front liner.
