About Fujitsubo
Fujitsubo began as Fujitsubo Motors, which opened in Fukuoka in 1931. The company moved to Yokohama in 1955, opened a racing-tuning shop, and became Fujitsubo Giken Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1970. It is known for exhaust systems, above all its Legalis sports muffler, launched in 1989.
Fujitsubo was a founding member of JASMA, the Japan Auto Sports Muffler Association, in 1989. Its plant and noise test road are at Susono, Shizuoka. It makes mufflers, front pipes and catalysers for Japanese cars, and was chosen as a standard muffler maker for the Nissan GT-R in 2017.
