HKS's latest aerodynamics, the Body Kit Type-S for GR Yaris Gen2, is a product of real-world competition, having been tested on vehicles competing in the Super Taikyu Series. Based on aerodynamic data obtained under extreme conditions and on-site feedback, a high-performance aerodynamic design has been achieved for both street and circuit use. HKS's unique aerodynamic technology optimizes stability at high speeds, stability during braking, and aerodynamic balance. The sophisticated design not only creates a visual impact, but also enhances the quality of the ride. A design born "for driving," not "for show."
Features

HKS was founded in October 1973 by Hiroyuki Hasegawa, a former Yamaha engineer, and Goichi Kitagawa, with start-up capital from Sigma Automotive; the name comes from Hasegawa, Kitagawa and Sigma. It began in a small shed at the foot of Mount Fuji, in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, and is still based there.
In 1974 HKS built one of the first bolt-on turbo kits, for the Nissan L20 engine in the Skyline, raising output from 115 to 160 PS. Turbocharging made its name; today it also makes exhausts, springs, shocks and coilover suspension, and it marked its 50th anniversary in 2023.
