The HKS CARBON ENGINE COVER CIVIC TYPE R (FL5/FK8) is made with red carbon Kevlar, is approximately 39% lighter than the stock and has a luxurious look.
Features

- This is a dry carbon engine cover that replaces the original engine cover.
- By using carbon fiber as the material, we have achieved a weight reduction of approximately 39% compared to the original.
- By using twill weave carbon fiber, the atmosphere inside the engine room is upgraded to a luxurious look.
- The center of the engine cover is designed to resemble an in-line four-cylinder engine, and the red aramid fiber accentuates the Type R's racing style.
- By matching the carbon grain of the genuine intake, it gives a sense of unity to the engine room.
- By using the included bolts, you can install it in the same way as the original.

About HKS
HKS was founded in October 1973 by Hiroyuki Hasegawa, a former Yamaha engineer, and Goichi Kitagawa, with start-up capital from Sigma Automotive; the name comes from Hasegawa, Kitagawa and Sigma. It began in a small shed at the foot of Mount Fuji, in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, and is still based there.
In 1974 HKS built one of the first bolt-on turbo kits, for the Nissan L20 engine in the Skyline, raising output from 115 to 160 PS. Turbocharging made its name; today it also makes exhausts, springs, shocks and coilover suspension, and it marked its 50th anniversary in 2023.
