The S-MX left the factory on 15x5.5 +55 wheels with 195/65R15 tyres on a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Most owners run 17x7 to 17x7.5 +48 to +55 on 215/45R17, or 18x7 to 18x7.5 +48 to +55 on 215/40R18, which fit without modification. With the car lowered, rolled front fenders and some extra camber, 18x8 to 18x8.5 +38 to +45 on 225/40R18 or 19x8 to 19x8.5 +36 to +45 on 225/35R19 sit flush with the fenders.
