About JTEKT
JTEKT is a Toyota group maker of bearings, steering systems, driveline parts and machine tools, with its head office in Kariya, Aichi Prefecture. JTEKT was formed on 1 January 2006 by the merger of Koyo Seiko, a bearing maker founded in Osaka in 1921, and Toyoda Machine Works, a machine tool maker that began in 1941 as a separate business from Toyota Motor.
JTEKT bearings carried the Koyo brand until April 2022, when its brands were brought together under the JTEKT name. JTEKT makes clutch release bearings and wheel hub units for Japanese cars, among many other parts.
