• The outer gear uses a material called extra super duralumin (A7075 material).  Extra super duralumin (A7075 material) is used in aircraft and is a high-class material with the highest strength among aluminum alloys.
• The outer gear is further hard anodized to achieve a hardness of about HV400.
• The wear area hit by the timing belt is dealt with by using both aluminum material and hard coat.  It is about 16% lighter than the genuine pulley (made of cast iron).
• The alumite treatment, which is blacked out for easy viewing, is given a white scale to improve visibility and improve work efficiency.  When fixed around the scale, it is designed to have the same function as a genuine cam pulley. The crank angle is 2 degrees as one scale.
• The slide cam pulley is an indispensable item to achieve the valve timing aimed at when replacing the camshaft, but there is a need for other than cam replacement such as head surface grinding and head gasket change.
