To further enhance the overwhelming individuality and off-road capability of the Jimny/Sierra, RAYS has created the forged one-piece wheel "A-LAP-J" with serious dedication. Boasting the lightest weight among Jimny-specific wheels, this model has been released in various colors, including standard colors and year models (limited edition colors), but for the 2023-24 season, RAYS are offering a completely new color: "Matte Translucent Black." The simple format, consisting of 10 spokes devoid of ostentation and a deep rim, is covered in a matte black, once again highlighting its spartan character. Furthermore, the center circle and the vertical walls of the rim are diamond-cut to expose the bare aluminum, and all machined parts, including the machined logo using patented "AMT" technology, are coated with matte black clear.

RAYS was founded in 1973 in Higashiosaka, Osaka, and has made wheels there ever since. Its first wheel, the Volk Mesh, came out in 1975, a racing division followed in 1981, and in 1986 the Volk Racing Gr.A became its first forged wheel. Forging is what RAYS is best known for: the Volk Racing TE37, first sold in 1996, is still one of the most copied wheel designs in the world.
Volk Racing wheels were on the Mazda 787B that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991, and RAYS has supplied factory teams of Nissan, Honda, Toyota and Mazda since. Its range today covers Volk Racing, gramLIGHTS, HOMURA, VERSUS and more, all designed and made in Japan.
