RS-R is the brand of Sport-Service RS-R, based in Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture. RS-R grew from a drive-shop wholesale business opened in Osaka in 1968 by founder Takeo Hayashi, which began making its own sport shocks, mufflers and suspension in 1972. The sports muffler factory opened in Toyonaka in 1980. Today RS-R makes suspension, shock absorbers, exhausts and other functional parts for Japanese cars, and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
