• Shimano EP801 Drive Unit Covers (Left Side Set)
  • DC-EP801-A – Inner / Upper Left Cover
    • The DC-EP801-A is the compact inner cover that mounts directly against the motor housing. It protects the upper section of the drive unit where wiring interfaces, mounting points, and exposed surfaces are most vulnerable.
    • This cover is:
      • Precision-moulded for exact OEM fitment
      • Designed for quick replacement without removing the motor
      • Built from impact-resistant polymer to withstand debris and trail strikes
      • Shaped to maintain airflow while still offering protection
      • Its primary role is to act as a first barrier against water, mud, and fine debris, preventing contamination from reaching sensitive internal areas.
  • DC-EP801-B – Outer / Main Left Cover
    • The DC-EP801-B is the main external shield, covering the majority of the motor’s left side. This is the component that absorbs the bulk of external impact during aggressive riding or urban use.

  • Full side coverage of the motor casing
  • Reinforced geometry for impact dispersion and durability
  • Protection of structural points including motor mounting interfaces
  • OEM modular design allowing fast removal and replacement
  • This outer cover functions as the primary impact surface, taking hits that would otherwise damage the motor casing or compromise alignment.
  • System Function and Engineering Purpose
  • Together, the DC-EP801-A and DC-EP801-B form a layered protection system:
