Toda BP (NA8C/NB8C) Inner Shim Conversion Kit
Changing the standard HLA lifter (NA) and outer shim lifter (NB) to an inner shim type reduces friction in valve train parts.
Toda - BP (NA8C/NB8C) Inner Shim Conversion Kit
Since the NA8C BP has an HLA structure, it is prone to hydraulic leaks and poor valve tracking, which is a major bottleneck for using high camshafts. By installing the inner shim conversion kit, it is possible to reduce the weight by approximately 17.5g per lifter and use a high lift camshaft.
Since the NB8C BP uses an outer shim type lifter, the cam contact surface has a small diameter, making it difficult to use a high lift camshaft, and increasing the inertial mass in terms of weight. By installing the inner shim conversion kit, the camshaft contact surface has been expanded, making it possible to reduce the weight by approximately 9g per lifter and use a high-lift camshaft.
Features
- Changing the standard HLA lifter (NA) and outer shim lifter (NB) to an inner shim type reduces friction in valve train parts. Spring retainers, valve springs, and spring seats will be reused.
- Can be used by replacing only the lifter part.
- Due to a change in lifter design, it can be used with STD valve springs.
- Both NA8 and NB8 can be used.
Notes
- One standard size shim is included, but if you cannot adjust it completely, please purchase a shim separately.

About Toda
Toda Racing was founded in Okayama in February 1971 by Yukio Toda as a racing maintenance company. It won the Suzuka FJ1300 championship in 1978 and the All Japan Formula 3 championship in 1987, and it went on to build its own engines for Japanese Formula 3.
Toda is best known for its Honda engine work, and for parts that come from it: camshafts, valve springs, pistons, connecting rods, flywheels, throttle bodies and complete engines for Honda's VTEC engines, along with parts for Toyota and other makes.
