From the combustion chamber to the cylinder, a piston works inside the core of the engine assembly where the energy of the explosion is converted into rotational movement. The piston suffers the most abuse out off all the components inside an engine, withstanding such factors as the force from constant amounts of massive energy and severe fluctuation in temperatures.

About Tomei
Tomei was founded in 1968 by members of the Johoku Riders motorcycle club, among them Nissan works driver Seiichi Suzuki. It began as a racing engine builder for Nissan engines only, and its work on the Nissan L-series and later the RB and SR engines made its name. The company took the name Tomei Powered when it moved to Machida, Tokyo, in 1994.
Tomei now develops parts for many Japanese engines, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Toyota as well as Nissan: camshafts, valve train parts, pistons, connecting rods and crankshafts, complete engines, and exhaust systems such as its well-known Expreme titanium range.
