TOM'S was founded in 1974 by Nobuhide Tachi, a Toyota factory driver, and Kiyoshi Oiwa; its name stands for Tachi Oiwa Motor Sport. Toyota recognised TOM'S as an official tuner in 1975, and it is now Toyota's factory-backed racing team in Japan, based in Tokyo.
TOM'S has won the Super GT and Super Formula championships many times. Its road parts, made for Toyotas and Lexus, include aero kits, exhausts, intakes, brakes, chassis bracing and interior parts, as well as team clothing.
