The 86 GRMN came on 17x7.5 +47 front and 17x8.5 +50 rear wheels with 215/40R17 and 235/40R17 tyres, over large six-piston front brakes, and most owners moving up go to 18 inches. Without modification, 18x7.5 to 18x8 +45 to +48 fits the front with 225/35R18 or 235/35R18, and 18x8.5 +47 to +52 fits the rear with 235/35R18 or 245/35R18. With some extra front camber and rolled rear fenders, 18x9 +35 to +40 fits the front and 18x9.5 +35 to +42 fits the rear, on 245/35R18 to 255/35R18 at the back.
