The Voltex GT Wing Type 12 is designed to work with high grip tires mounted on lower powered vehicles like the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ. This wing will produce less drag than the Type 1 wing, but sill provide improved stability. Since the end plates needed to be as small as they are, it was determined that the gull wing design would be better suited.

About Voltex
Voltex was started by Akihiro Nakajima, who trained in carbon composite work in the UK and in July 1992 founded NAKAJI G.R.P to make race parts and develop aero products for car makers. The company is based in Suzuka, Mie Prefecture.
It began selling GT wings under the Voltex name in 2003, and Voltex Co., Ltd. was incorporated in 2006. Today it makes GT wings and other carbon aero parts for road and race cars, including the GR86 and BRZ.
