About Yokohama

Yokohama Rubber was founded in Yokohama in 1917, opened its first factory in Hiranuma, Yokohama, in 1920, making belts and tyres, and added a factory in Tsurumi Ward in 1929.

Advan, Yokohama's sports and motorsport brand, began in April 1978 with the Advan HF tyre. Advan tyres now run from the Neova road sports tyre to the A050 and A052 for circuit use, and Advan Racing forged and cast alloy wheels are made by Yokohama Wheel.

Yokohama has supplied the Super Formula championship's one-make tyre since 2016, starting with the A005 for the dry and A006 for the wet, and Super Formula Lights' since 2020. Advan tyres also race in Super GT.
