Pivot was founded in 1985 by the industrial designer Seiichi Uchikawa, and Pivot Corporation was established in 1986. Based in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, Pivot makes automotive electronics: throttle controllers, auto-cruise controllers, sub-computers, gauges and monitors.
