TRD, Toyota Racing Development, is Toyota's own tuning and motorsport parts brand in Japan. Its roots go back to Toyota's motorsport department of the 1950s, which prepared a Toyopet Crown for the Round Australia Rally in 1957, and the TRD name was established in 1976. In 2018 TRD Japan merged with Toyota Modellista to form Toyota Customizing & Development.
TRD parts are developed alongside Toyota's own cars and racing, and range from aero kits and wheels to suspension, brakes, exhausts and engine parts, for Toyotas from the AE86 and Supra to the GR Yaris and GR86.
