Tomei have adopted a solid pivot system to enable cam clearance adjustment, while keeping the total height of pivot of each cylinder fixed.

Tomei - Solid Pivot for 4G63

The Tomei solid conversion helps with more efficient opening and closing of the valves and therefore helps improve response throughout higher RPM ranges. This product uses internal shims to adjust the height. The kit includes 2.500 shims for each pivot (various shim sizes are available and sold separately). Designed to be used in conjunction with other solid conversion upgrade products (as mentioned above in the notes) from Tomei Powered for the 4G63.
