HKS are renewing their long-selling Slide Cam Sprockets which has been very well received by SR20DE(T) users. Available separately for the Intake side and the Exhaust side. As tuning progresses, the optimal valve timing will change due to modifications to the camshaft opening and other engine component specifications. By adjusting the angle to match the overlap amount when the intake and exhaust valve openings are widened, it becomes possible to aim for more precise valve timing.
Features
- The adjustment range is ±20° from the original crank angle. Each mark on the inner plate corresponds to approximately 2° of crank angle.
- The center of the scale is designed to be in the same phase as a normal pulley. Additionally, to prevent adjustment errors, "A" (Advance) and "R" (Retard) are engraved for visual confirmation.
- While it is effective when used with a standard camshaft, even greater performance can be achieved by installing it in conjunction with our camshaft and setting it to the recommended valve timing.
- While retaining its proven functionality, the EX-side sprocket will now be sold with the drive gear pressed in. This eliminates the need to replace or purchase a new gear from the original, making it even more affordable.

About HKS
HKS was founded in October 1973 by Hiroyuki Hasegawa, a former Yamaha engineer, and Goichi Kitagawa, with start-up capital from Sigma Automotive; the name comes from Hasegawa, Kitagawa and Sigma. It began in a small shed at the foot of Mount Fuji, in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, and is still based there.
In 1974 HKS built one of the first bolt-on turbo kits, for the Nissan L20 engine in the Skyline, raising output from 115 to 160 PS. Turbocharging made its name; today it also makes exhausts, springs, shocks and coilover suspension, and it marked its 50th anniversary in 2023.
