Your Impreza came with 14x5.5 +55 wheels on 175/70R14 tyres, or 16x6.5 +55 on 205/50R16 on the A and S/A packages. Most owners step up to 17x7 to 17x7.5 at +48 to +55 on 215/45R17, which fits without modification, as do 16x7 +45 and 18x7.5 +48 on 215/40R18. With rolled rear fenders and some extra camber, 17x8 or 18x8 at +42 to +48 sits flush to just past the fender, run the same size front and rear.
