The Mugen high pressure radiator cap can handle pressure up to 1.3kg/cm2 before opening for greater cooling performance.
The higher pressure in the radiator causes the coolants boiling point to raise thus increasing cooling efficiency. The open valve pressure is 1.3kg.cm2 compared to the normal 1.1kg/cm2.

About Mugen
Mugen was founded in 1973 by Hirotoshi Honda, son of Honda's founder Soichiro Honda, and engineer Masao Kimura. It is an independent company, not owned by Honda, but it has worked closely with Honda for its whole history.
Mugen built racing engines that won in Japanese Formula 3000 and powered teams in Formula One in the 1990s, winning four Grands Prix, and it still races in Super GT and Super Formula. For the road it makes aero kits, exhausts, suspension, brakes, wheels and interior parts for Hondas, from the Civic Type R and NSX to Honda's everyday models.
