About OMORI

OMORI

OMORI was the gauge brand of Omori Meter, a meter maker in Ota, Tokyo. Omori Meter began in 1940 as Omori Keiki Seisakusho, making temperature, oil pressure and rev gauges for tanks, turned to gauges for cars and small engines in 1945 and began making racing car gauges in 1958. Omori Meter closed in 2008.

OMORI made 45mm, 52mm and 60mm gauges, mechanical and electronic, for boost, vacuum, oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, exhaust and intake temperature, voltage and fuel, and tachometers. The Z series lit its dials green at night, and the FC series in a colour the driver chose. OMORI also made replacement dial faces for the instrument clusters of cars such as the Mazda RX-7 and Honda Z, and gauges for motorcycles and boats.
