About SOFT99

SOFT99 began in Osaka in 1954 as Nitto Kagaku, whose first car wax, Golden Neo Wax, followed in 1957. Nitto Kagaku began making car wax and other products under the SOFT99 name in 1962, opened a factory in Higashi-Osaka in 1966, moved its factory to Techno Park in Sanda, Hyogo, in 1989 and took the name SOFT99 corporation in 1993.

SOFT99 makes car shampoos and waxes, Body Pen touch-up paint (1978), fluorine coatings (1990), the Glaco glass water repellent (1991), the 99 Kobo series of body repair products (1995) and Fukupika wipe-on wax (1998). SOFT99's head office is in Tanimachi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, and its research centre in Kita-ku, Kobe.
