Aggressive Fitment
The Cappuccino is a kei-class roadster: a two-seater inside Japan's 660 cc rules, with its engine mounted behind the front axle and the rear wheels driven, for a claimed 50:50 weight split with both seats taken. The EA11R is the first version, on sale from 1 November 1991, and it weighs about 700 kg. The bonnet, roof panels and roll bar are aluminium.
Its F6A is a 657 cc DOHC twelve-valve three-cylinder with a turbocharger and intercooler, rated at the kei limit of 64 PS at 6,500 rpm and 85 Nm at 4,000 rpm, through a five-speed manual. The roof is three removable panels, which make it a closed coupé, a T-top, a targa or, with the rear window and roll bar lowered, a full convertible.
Body parts lead the list. Hard tops and roof parts, aero kits, boot lids and bonnets from Toyoshima Craft and Jworks are what EA11R owners buy most, and on a car this small a lighter panel makes a real difference.
For the F6A, extension and dump pipes and manifolds free up the exhaust, with HKS and Fujitsubo among the makers, while gaskets for the engine and uprated radiator caps for the cooling keep an old turbo triple healthy. KYB and Spiegel suspension kits and bushes, and fresh drivetrain mounts, take up thirty years of wear. Monster Sport and GReddy are also among the names owners choose.
Rust is the Cappuccino's weak point: the floor behind the seats, sometimes hidden under aluminium tape, the sill seams where blocked drain holes hold water, and the inner wings in the engine bay. Brake caliper pistons can stick, and a reluctant change from third to second points to worn synchros. The F6A's camshafts are driven by a belt, so the cambelt needs replacing on schedule, and the aluminium panels dent easily.
Many of these parts are in our genuine Suzuki parts catalogue.
The Cappuccino has four studs on a 4x114.3 bolt pattern, a 60 mm hub bore and M12 x 1.25 nuts, and came on 14x5 +45 wheels with 165/65R14 tyres. See wheels that fit the Cappuccino.
