Yellow Hat

Yellow Hat began in October 1961 as Royal, a seller of car accessories in Kojimachi, Chiyoda, Tokyo, and became Royal Co., Ltd. in 1962. Royal sold car accessories through petrol stations and, from 1969, car corners in large stores, opened its first Yellow Hat store, in Utsunomiya, in 1975 and took the name Yellow Hat Ltd. in 1997.

Yellow Hat runs stores across Japan, its own and its group stores, which sell car accessories, tyres and wheels and fit them in their own pits, along with oil changes, vehicle inspections, coatings and bodywork. Yellow Hat sells three tyres made only for its stores: the PRACTIVA budget tyre, the ECOFINE fuel-saving tyre and the Japanese-made PRACTIVA ICE BP02 studless tyre.
