The LC500 went on sale in Japan on 13 April 2017, the first Lexus on the rear-wheel-drive GA-L platform, and was built at Toyota's Motomachi plant, where the LFA had been made. A convertible joined the coupe in July 2020, and production ended in 2026.
Its 2UR-GSE is a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 rated at 477 PS at 7,100 rpm and 540 Nm, driving the rear wheels through a ten-speed automatic. The LC500h is a separate car, a V6 hybrid with its own chassis code. Lexus kept refining the LC500 through its life: the June 2020 update cut unsprung weight with aluminium front lower arms, a hollow rear anti-roll bar and lighter 21-inch wheels, the 2023 update revised the engine mounts and rear suspension member, and from December 2024 extra underbody braces were added.
LC500 owners spend most on how the car looks and sits. Wheels lead the list, from RAYS and other makers, along with wheel nuts and bolts to fit them, and aero kits from the exterior range follow, mostly from Japan's Lexus specialists.
The V8 needs little to make its power, so engine work is light: panel filters for the intake are the usual buy. A coupe of nearly two tonnes asks a lot of its brakes, and uprated pads from the brakes range are the other common choice. TRD, RAYS, Lexon, ROWEN, TOM'S and Project Mu are among the names LC owners choose.
The LC is recent, so genuine parts are more often for service and repair than for age. Suspension parts depend on the build date: cars from June 2020 on have aluminium front lower arms and a hollow rear anti-roll bar in place of the earlier parts. The LC runs on run-flat tyres and carries no spare.
Service parts, brake parts and body panels for the URZ100 are in our genuine Lexus parts catalogue.
The LC500 has five studs on a 120 mm PCD with M14 x 1.5 nuts, and came on staggered wheels: 20x8.5 +25 front and 20x9.5 +25 rear, or 21x8.5 +25 front and 21x9.5 +25 rear. Other sizes are listed under wheels that fit the LC500.
Genuine Lexus parts for the LC500 URZ100 are now available direct from Japan.
